Roasted Chicken Taco with Mango Salsa
Taco is a Mexican food and is famous world wide for its simplicity in fixing it and more importantly, for its unsurpassed taste. The link of India with modern day Mexico can be traced from Ramayan and Mahabharat era. The famous Maya of those scriptures is none other than South American country Mexico!
I have made a fusion dish today, the Indian style roasted chicken or Tandoori chicken, cut into bite size pieces and served on a bed of exotic Mango Salsa which you can fix in a jiffy.
Ingredients:
- Roasted or Tandoori Chicken pieces (Cut into bite size)
- Flour or Corn tortillas (You can use chapati also)
- Mango-2 (Cut into small pieces)
- Green chillies-3
- Red onion-1/2 (omelet cut)
- Lime or lemon-1
- Cilantro or coriander Leaves-2 tbsp(Finely chopped)
- SaltTomato-1/2 Flesh removed (Chopped like onion)
Procedure:
- Heat pre-cooked Chicken.
- In a mixing bowl,mix all the ingredients except tortilla or chapati and prepare salsa.
- Heat tortilla wrapped in a wet paper towel and micro for 1 minute.
- In a plate, arrange each tortilla and spread Mango Salsa and on top of this, put chicken.
- Have it with a dollop of sour cream and grated Mexican Cheese or cheddar cheese.(Optional)
Note: Mango salsa is unique in flavor and rich in Nutrition.
