Dubki wale Aalu
Dubki wale aalu is the very famous gravy vegetable of Mathura, which is very famous in western India. It goes so well with puris.
It was snowing 🌨 hard here in Chicago and hubby decided to stay home. Thus more reason to make comfort food and puri aalu is all time favorite.
A dish which is extremely delicious and so easy to cook, and that also in a jiffy, is hardly to find anywhere in the world.
I boiled 2 medium size potatoes and mashed those roughly.
Chopped 2 tomatoes 🍅 and lot of Cilantro leaves.
In a pan, heated 2 tsp. Oil, added 2 tsp. Cumin and a good pinch of hing, also added tomatoes, salt, 1 tsp. Red chilli powder, 1 tsp. turmeric powder and kashmiri mirch and saute. Add coarsely mashed potatoes and 2-3 cups of water.
Boil this and add chopped cilantro.
Serve with puri and parathas.
