                        Bell Pepper Or Capsicum Sabzi

 This is a very tasty and quick sabzi which goes well with puris and parathas. Usually I prepare it with red bell peppers but as I was out of it, decided to cook with green bell peppers. Only difference was the color of the dish of course, taste was almost same.

 


Green Bell Pepper sabzi with Missi Roti

 Ingredients:

  1. Bell Pepper -red or green 250 gm.
  2. Onion-Thinly sliced 2 medium
  3. Ginger-garlic paste-1 tsp.
  4. Tomatoes-1 large or 1&1/2
  5. Red chilli powder-2 tsp.
  6. Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp.
  7. Coriander powder-1 tsp.
  8. Garam masala powder-1 tsp.
  9. Salt 
  10. Oil-2 tbsp.
  11. Roasted peanuts or wite sesame seeds-1 tbsp.

 

Procedure:

  • Cut bell peppers lengthwise.
    Heat oil in a pan and saute thinly sliced onions.
    • When they turn light brown,add ginger garlic paste and stir till rawness is gone.
    • Now add chopped tomatoes and all the spice powder plus salt and saute till tomatoes are tender.
    • Add bell peppers now,cover and cook till they become soft.
    • Add roasted peanut or sesame seeds powder and stir for 2 minutes.
    • Serve with puris or parathas.
