Gajar ki kheer



Gajar ki kheer is delicious and colorful dessert that catches everyone's attention. I had it first time in my South Indian neighbor's house warming function. Instantly I liked it. So, here I'm sharing this delish recipe which is rich in vitamin A.

Ingredients:

  1. Carrots- 250 gm.
  2. Milk-4 cups
  3. Sugar-1 cup
  4. Green cardamom powder-1 tsp.
  5. Dry fruits of your choice-3 tbsp.

Procedure:

  • Wash and grate carrots.
  • In a pot, pour milk and add carrots and simmer on low medium flame till the porridge gets thicker.
  • Add sugar and cardamom powder and let it simmer further for another 5-10 minutes.
  • Garnish with nuts and serve hot or chilled.
